Jerry Ulrich and Molly Jones envisioned a need for an extensive hardware store and wanted to continue the tradition. Ace Hardware of Albion, New York was then established August 2006. In spite of the challenges that the "big box" competitors bring, the idea of being able to service the needs of the Albion residents and friends in neighboring communities was the deciding factor of locating in Orleans County.
